This Privacy Policy explains how Talva ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our AI specialist platform.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Billing information: Payment details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
- Business context: Information you share with your specialists during onboarding and through feedback — business name, industry, preferences, documents, and instructions.
- Communications: Emails you send to your specialists and to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Which specialists you hire, delivery frequency, on-demand runs, and email interactions (opens, replies).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information when you access our website or dashboard.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Operate your AI specialists and deliver work to your inbox
- Improve specialist performance based on your feedback
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you service communications (delivery emails, billing notices, account updates)
- Improve our platform and develop new features
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Target you with third-party advertising
- Train general-purpose AI models on your business data without your consent
3. How specialist learning works
Your specialists improve over time through a learning system that analyzes your feedback, corrections, and usage patterns. This learning is isolated to your specialists — your data does not improve other users' specialists. The learning system processes your inputs to generate behavioral adjustments specific to your specialists only.
4. Who we share your information with
We share your information only with:
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Resend: Email delivery
- Anthropic: AI model provider (your inputs are sent to Anthropic's API for specialist processing; see Anthropic's usage policies at anthropic.com/policies)
- Hosting provider: Infrastructure for running the platform
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Data retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion.
- Specialist data (context, deliveries, feedback): Retained while your account is active. Deleted 30 days after account closure.
- Billing records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
- Usage analytics: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@talva.io.
6. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in Canada and the United States. If you are located outside these countries, your data will be transferred and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Children's privacy
Talva is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
